It is a sad thing to say, especially because I know that I am not the only one with that observation.
As I have a PhD myself, worked in the system & saw its broken and rotten core first hand, I see it in my duty to speak up about it, because many people will fall trap to “But Science says this, so you have to do it!”
Often, to their own detriment. And that is not okay. Just because someone claims that, does not mean it is true!
Another important thing for you to know: I LOVE Science, the real Science! Not the bullpoop circus we call Science these days.
I love the Science that is based on curiosity, creativity and exploration of the human world without any propaganda, biased financial corruption and blown-up human egos that know better than nature itself.
In case this already resonated, here are some tips to pay attention to, to not get deceived by this broken Science world we live in:
What to look out for, to not get trapped by today’s crazy “Science-justification-system”:
Science never has ONE answer. There is never only ONE solution for everyone.
—> this means, you dont have to do what everyone does. You can decide for yourself.
If you can‘t question Science, —> it is simply not Science.
If you get told that “everyone works on weekends” as a Scientist:
—> run away, it’s a lie. They want to trap you to be their slave & give up your life. For not much in return.
If you are told to accept disrespectful and humiliating treatment because of how science works:
—> leave. You don’t have to accept it, no one should. This is NOT how Science works.
Medical doctors barely learn about nutrition. Nutrition is essential for our health
—> if you are not asked about your sleep, food intake, exercise regime, stress levels by your doctor, be aware: the pills your get prescribed might not help you.
If an “alternative healing method” that helped you gets dismissed:
—>ignore disbelievers, especially hardcore-scientists. Ancient cultures & knowledge is much more holistic than what modern Science knows. Our science world is just starting to catch up.
If your emotions, thoughts, feelings, and experiences are disregarded by Science:
—> dont let them be disregarded. Because they make you healthy or sick, therefore be careful to take care of yourself on mental, emotional & spiritual levels.
I hope these tips helped to strengthen your believe in yourself, that you are a sovereign being and can decide for yourself and dont need to comply to a corrupted Science system.
Now, I will share with you two specific examples about the mess of the Science-world
1. The Scientist that gets denied to publish his theory, cos proof is missing…
I recently spoke with a medical PhD and he got interested in physics and math & came up with quite some cool theories.
He tried to publish them: big, fat pain in the bum! ‘He is not from the field, it is too simple so it can’t be true’ and best of all “There is nothing to back this up in the literature, we cant publish it.”
This is not the point of Science! The point of Science is to ask questions, come up with hypotheses, try & test them, let others read them & see if they can be proven. In community!
But no.
These days Science means, you need to have the question, the perfect answer, a new method, explanations of everything, and ideally: a ready-to-go application to throw out on the market.
THEN you can publish high, and a lot. And that publishing matrix is the only tool which you are judged with.
And by the way: in his case it was maths and physics, and his calculations were spot on. They were proof enough, but so novel & too simple, that he was denied.
This is unacceptable for Science, because even if a theory questions current scientific concepts, it needs the to be proven wrong or right by others, not the author only.
2. The study that stuffed rats with a synthetic molecule & claimed it can mimic fasting & exercise
I dare to say that the medical scientific system might be one of the most corrupt ones.
Recently I came across a study that was shared on social media with the amazing message of “A molecule that mimics fasting AND exercise at the same time”.
I immediately thought that is bullshit.
ONE molecule that can mimic our body to think it is not eating and exercising at the same time? Does that mean I can sit on my couch, eat chips, pop a pill with that molecule & I will be healthy?
So I checked out the study to see what it actually says, on a scientific level. And I was blown away by its outrageous experimental design. So much so, that I will share it with you.
Mainly to make the point that just because the science is published officially, does not make it right or scientifically valid and true.
And to point out another ridiculousness about the Science world: the way we are taught to write.
It’s basically: “Write as not-understandable, confusing and “scientific” as possible.”
No wonder people dont get science, here the beautiful title: “Preparation and Preclinical Characterization of a Simple Ester for Dual Exogenous Supply of Lactate and Beta-hydroxybutyrate”
Here the experimental setup of the study:
Researchers chemically synthesized a molecule that mimics exercise and fasting.
Potentially “a nutritional supplement for long-term consumption.”
How did they do it? This was the scientific setup:
A total of 8 rats (males & females) got the synthetic molecule & 8 other rats got the placebo in the experiments.
A minimum of 6 rats was claimed to be necessary “to identify a treatment effect”
They did an “acute oral administration” with 4.5g/1kg of the molecule. Meaning they fed the rats with the molecule.
Let’s break down the math:
if a rat weighs ca. 400g, that means it got 1.8g of the molecule.
This is equivalent to a human that weighs 80kg and gets 360g of the molecule.
Can you imagine swallowing a nice, tiny supplement pill of 360g?
A jar of Nutella weighs roughly 360g.
They also did the following: “to minimize eventual stress-induced changes in metabolite levels, the rats were anesthetized”
That means, after being fed the molecule, the rats were put to sleep for a while, just to reduce potential stress.
The researchers also amped it up to 12g/1kg (more than triple the amount!) and observed: “some of the rats displayed slightly reduced activity and a hunched posture”
The Science is complete. Congratulations.
No wait, it was funded by a pharma company, Novo Nordisk. Yeah those with the Ozempic mess…
Now off to you: what do you think? Does this sound like a decent scientific setup? One that we can infer from to humans?
Would you want to take such a “nutritional supplement”? Helping you to make your body think it is moving and not eating?
And of course there are much bigger claims, that it could help with Alzheimers and Parkinson etc, all those diseases that we are so afraid of to get. Where it’s also known that nutrition, stress management, meditation, emotional, mental and physical exercise and overall healthy lifestyle can diminish those.
This type of cheap justification, based on fear-mongering, in cooperation with a pharmaceutical company is just beyond what Science is. It is everything else than Science.
And with my whole real-Science-loving heart: I cannot accept that.
As a take-home message, the only thing I want to say is: dare to question science, trust yourself, try out different ways and methods, do your own experiments, do not get enslaved by a system that often wants to take advantage of you.
And also know when it can be a good idea to listen to doctors, and then: be cautious & get yourself several opinions. No one person knows best and has the only solution.
