The angels we meet in our life

What? Angels?... what's all that about... ;)

What exactly are Angels?

Are they heavenly, invisible creatures floating around us? Do they even exist if they are invisible? Can they be humans? Some people call babies angels. But can grown-ups also be angels? & what would make a human being an angel? Can animals be angels? What about our ancestors? Are they our very own guardian angels?

Or: did I, Daria, suddenly get completely nuts in asking these questions :-D? I don’t think so at all.

First of all, from the logical, even business-like approach: there are people who are so called “Business Angels”: they invest in companies, often start-ups, with financial means, or as mentors & guides, helping to navigate the waters of business life.

So, they are real-life people, not invisible creatures from the heavens; but why are they called “Angels” then? Why not just “investors”, “coaches” or “guides”? I have no idea about the answer, however I have a theory:

Maybe what we humans perceive to be an “Angel”, is a being associated with positive attributes such as: helping, guiding & supporting beyond what is usual & typical. Maybe we like the tiny bit of mystic flair that the word has, bringing magic into our lifes, especially business-life, that can be tough, hard & sometimes very ruthless.

Maybe, just maybe, we long for more than what we see, we long for the invisible, magical world beyond what our eyes can catch…

This is the case for me at least. I am a Scientist, I have my own business, yet, I have always believed in angels, human-angels & the invisible ones… I loved the thought that invisible souls float around me & take care of me. It could have been my grandpa that passed, or my far-away cousin always checking-in on me, or maybe other invisible creatures.

To me, I always felt safe & protected by them & this feeling is enough for me. I don’t need to logically disseminate it more.

& then, there are certain human-angels that I’ve met in my life, either people in my past & our ways parted, or people that are still an active part of my life.

Why I decided to write about this today is, because sometimes such angels can come out of a sudden, totally unexpected, for an intense amount of time, without knowing what the full purpose is, yet feeling that they have a huge impact on our life. One of those I have met this year & our interactions caused me to write about this topic…
