My series of oil pastel landscape paintings
It is done :)
Last week, my friend Caroline asked me to join her for the 100dayschallenge, where we create art for 100 days & share it online.
I have been painting daily since months, so I thought why not, I am on a run already. And I thought I can expand on it & every 7 days I will focus on something different.
Either a different medium or art supply, or a different object or whatever else.
I started with oilpastels, since I have been loving them & continued with landscapes.
In addition to that, I also decided to actually put up my paintings & creations for sale.
Yes, the first time ever that I would create a series & put it up for sale… the thought of it makes me a bit nervous to be honest, but there is no way to grow without pushing our boundaries, right ;)?
I thought, before I put the painting up on my webpage, I will first share it with all of you here and see if anyone of you is interested in those pieces.
They are all landscapes from around here the North of Sweden or from India, some also from New Zealand.
Their size is A6, painted on watercolor paper with high quality, artist grade oil pastels. I will sell each piece for 77 Eur on my webpage, + shipping. If anyone of you is interested in a piece, you will get it for 70 EUR + shipping.
I am also open for commissions, so if you have a special place that you would want to be painted, let me know and we agree on size, medium and pricing.
But without further ado, here are the landscapes I painted in the last weeks:
I would like to especially thank you Miriam for connecting me with your friend! This is why I was able to paint these beautiful fall landscapes in New Zealand and we are in discussion about how/if/when/what to send them over. THANK YOU soooo much!!
In case anyone of you is interested in my process around oil pastel paintings, I might write about it in more detail in another newsletter. Since I just started, I have no idea if the way I go about it is the best way, even if I like the outcomes so far.
I surely learned some lessons when it comes to their messiness: you wont get out of the painting process clean, neither your art supplies or papers :D. It is a juggling and awareness training to make sure that everything that should stay clean and white, stays that way :D
Other than that, this is really it for today. I wish you all an awesome week and thank you for reading and following along!
Love,
Daria
